BIO
My name is Jacob and I am first year Media Production student Toronto Metropolitan University. I love films, leadership, filming, editing, directing and so much more. I have been interested in filmmaking from a very young age where I would put together skits on YouTube. More recently I have been tasked to created short films for school. I also enjoyed being a prominent leader of the Audio Visual club at my previous school which I have been passionate about for many years. Lastly, I want to work with talented people to create meaningful film and make lasting memories in the process.

University of Toronto Production Assistant
May 2024 - Current
Performing the setup and takedown of equipment required for events. Operating various audio/visual/media production systems for a variety of events, including virtual event platforms. Checking and testing to ensure equipment is in working order. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Editing post-production audio and/or visual material. Collecting presentation and event materials in advance of audio-visual set-up.

TMU RTA: Media Production Student. Within my degree I've had the opportunity to experience many media production roles.
Directing, switching, acting, camera operating, boom operating, video editing, sound editing, lighting etc.
VVC Live Event Setup
February 2024
Assisted in setting up for a Canadian Club event with VVC Live at the Fairmont Royal York. Tasks included, setting up banners, setting up lights, managing cables, taping cables, assisting with troubleshooting and striking.
